Cube Finance takes center stage at the “Innovate and Innovate Yourself” event
November 11, 2025 – Mendrisio
On November 11, 2025, Cube Finance participated in “Innovate and Innovate Yourself,” an event promoted by the AGIRE Foundation and dedicated to local businesses developing transformation, research, and innovation.
The event emphasized the value of collaboration between companies, research institutes, and key players in the Ticino regional innovation system.
An event dedicated to concrete innovation
The day opened with institutional presentations focusing on the innovation landscape in Switzerland, the role of Innosuisse, and the tools currently available to support applied research projects, technological development, and the growth of SMEs.
Through testimonials, data, and case studies, the speakers demonstrated how innovation is not an abstract process, but a structured process that requires method, collaboration, and an ecosystem capable of supporting companies through the various stages of development.
Cube Finance’s Contribution: The FinVA AML Case
The program devoted considerable space to Cube Finance’s journey, presented by Stefano Zanchetta, the company’s CEO, and Michela Papandrea, a senior researcher at SUPSI.
The presentation retraced the main stages of the FinVA AML project, one of the most representative cases of virtuous collaboration between industry, academic research, and innovation funded by Innosuisse.
It was demonstrated how, from the first Innocheque in 2020 to the project’s conclusion in 2023 and the new mentorship voucher in 2025, FinVA AML has represented a model of applied innovation for the banking compliance sector.
The focus was on several key elements:
the advanced use of AI and machine learning techniques for KYC and AML;
the human-in-the-loop approach, which ensures transparency and explainability of results;
the system’s ability to reduce false positives by up to 90% thanks to a contextual scoring engine;
the concrete impact on the work of compliance officers and the quality of internal processes.
The presentation highlighted how FinVA AML is not just a technological project, but an example of how Cube Finance has transformed a research path into an operational solution adopted by banks and financial institutions.
Innovation as Collaboration
Other industrial use cases, methodological workshops, and tools dedicated to SMEs exploring new innovation opportunities were also presented during the event.
All the presentations emphasized a fundamental point: innovation requires skills, vision, and, above all, solid partnerships between companies and research institutions.
Cube Finance’s Role in the Ticino Ecosystem
Participation in the event reaffirmed Cube Finance’s active role in the regional innovation landscape, particularly in the areas of financial compliance, applied artificial intelligence, and advanced decision-making systems.
The FinVA AML case and ongoing projects demonstrate how collaboration with SUPSI, Innosuisse, and qualified technology partners represents a strategic lever for developing high-value-added solutions for the Swiss financial sector.
